Travel accident insurance plan is also known as accidental death and dismemberment insurance (AD&D). 2. Common Carrier AD&D
3. 24-Hour AD&D

Flight Accident AD&D:
As the title itself suggests, you, your beneficiary, or your state will get the benefit only for accidents that take place to you when you are traveling through an airplane during the coverage

Common Carrier Travel Accident Insurance Plan:
If you are a policyholder of this type of travel accident insurance plan, money will be paid only for accidents involving a common carrier.

24-Hour Travel Accident Insurance Plan:
This policy type pays a benefit for accidents that take place due to your traveling in any sort of carriage during the duration of the policy.
Many risks due to terrorism are usually covered by travel accident insurance plans. However, some of the major risk factors are not covered by travel accident insurance plans and you are required to purchase them separately or pay an additional premium within the same travel accident insurance plan. Although most travel accident insurance plan providing insurance companies usually exclude war, but there are few good insurance companies that cover it. However, the premiums are quite high and you will be required to complete a special application giving explanations about your trip activities and the entire journey in general.
